Overview The MotorNotes™ software provides an overview of all your vehicles plus one-touch access to vehicle details, fuel, distance, service, service plan, and other information. Note: Click on any picture to see a larger image. 
Distance Configurable distance categories allow you to track distance in whatever way is important to you. For example, separate track and street distance to plan service accordingly, identify distance driven for multiple businesses or clients for tax reporting or expense reimbursement. The flexible distance module allows you to track distance daily, weekly, monthly, or only when needed. 
Fuel The fuel module provides totals and averages of all fuel-related statistics. The fuel log screen provides quick entry of fuel data. Similar quick entry screens exist for Distance, Service, and Other. 
The service, fuel, and other modules track financial amounts to help budget, support tax or expense claims, or determine when it's time to replace an older vehicle. For you vintage Italian sports car owners, however, tracking service expense may prove hazardous to your blood pressure, so using this part of the software is optional. Service Configurable service categories allow for as much, or as little, detail as you need. Example 1 shows periodic dealer service with a few extras. Example 2 shows a more specific service history for the detail-minded or do-it-yourself-er. 
Service Plan The service plan module provides the ability to set reminders for service based on either time elapsed or distance travelled. The display shows the number of Months and/or Miles (or Kilometers) between service intervals. When a service is due soon it will appear in yellow. When a service is overdue it will appear in red. 
Other If you need to track expenses like parking, insurance, and car washes, the "Other" section is just what you need. Whether you put wiper blades under Service or under Other, however, is up to you. Vehicle Time The Vehicle Time module provides the ability to track vehicle or equipment usage based on number of hours elapsed. This module works both with vehicles equipped with a Hobbs meter or similar elapsed-time meter and those vehicles without such a meter. The Service and Service Plan modules can track and schedule service based on hours of use as well. 
Driver The Driver module provides information about drivers, their work hours, and a driver-centric view of vehicle data. 
The Distance module in the Driver area provides a driver-specific view of Distance entries. Distance may be entered either in the Vehicle area or in the Driver area and the resulting data is displayed in both. 
The Time module provides time-tracking capabilities for drivers. 
Alert Alerts provides a quick overivew of service due and other events. 
Reports MotorNotes™ also includes a powerful reporting engine for research or sharing. With the reports you can provide a full service history to a prospective buyer, distance and expense information to your accountant, distance rate to calculate reimbursements, research service across multiple vehicles (how many of your cars have had the power streering pump replaced?) and much more. Reports provide summary and detail level information regarding fuel, distance, service, other, vendors, or a complete vehicle history. The sample reports below represent just a few examples. 
Preferences The Preference module allows you to specify how to display distance and fuel quantities using either US or metric measurements. Fuel economy is also configurable for MPG, KPL, or L/100K. Other preferences allow MotorNotes™ to be configured to your needs. Best of all MotorNotes™ comes with a one year, unlimited distance service plan.
